This Spicy Morning Tonic Will Improve Your Digestion
You’ve heard of chicken and waffles? It’s a brunch staple, but I prefer to eat mines at 11pm at a bar off of Fairfax. Reckless is an understatement. So when I wake up in the morning, this tonic is my aplology to my stomach.
Boosting your internal digestive fire is one of the key ways to improve your health according to Ayurveda. Your digestive system allows your body to remove waste and absorbs nutrients properly. These are the key ways to prevent toxemia, or the root cause of all disease. More on that in my last post.
Unfortunately due to eating heavy starches, protein and not enough water and veggies the colon becomes prolapsed. The colon lies directly above the uterus and ovaries and when it becomes impacted and weighted down to with waste, it can make your monthly cycle pretty difficult.
- 1/2 teaspoon Cayenne
- Juice of one lemon
- 8 oz. Pure Warm Water
- 2-4 teaspoons of cold pressed olive oil
- Mix all of the ingredients together and enjoy!
